The Dallas Margarita Meltdown has been home to many different types of restaurants, bars and Hotels.

Every year local restaurants participate so their friends, family and regulars can come out and experience a festival like no other in the city.

    We are inviting 40 of the best restaurants and bars from the DFW Metroplex to participate in the 6th annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown.

    Over 50 establishments have participated in the past. The winners have been Iron Cactus from Downtown, Whiskey Cake from Plano, Soleo Mexican Restaurant from North Dallas, Asador at the Renaissance Hotel, and Pie 314 from Lewisville.

    This years participants are RJ’s Mexican Cuisine, Pie 314 and TBD Kitchen from Lewisville, Wild Salsa, Taboo Lounge, Mulberry St. Cantina, and Resto Gastro Bistro at Trinity Groves with more being added weekly.

    We found an article that might be of interest. Milagro’s Jaime Salas explains how to make the best margarita. He says your ingredients must be as good as the tequila you are using.

    He list four margarita recipes. My favorite and the one I’m going to make at home is the Watermelon Radish and Cilantro Margarita. Here are the ingredients.

    Watermelon Radish & Cilantro Margarita 2 Parts Milagro Silver 1 Part Fresh Lime juice 3/4 Part Local Honey (1:1) or Light Agave Nectar 1 Hearty Pinch of Cilantro 3 Watermelon Radish Rounds Glass: Rocks Garnish: Watermelon Radish full round slice
